Motion Sensor Lighting
Safety and Security Lights
Indoors and Out
Introduction:
Motion sensor lighting can be
installed indoors or outdoors and can add safety
and security to your home. There is nothing that
will upset a burglar more than lights coming on as
he approaches a house.
Adding motion sensor lights in and around
your house provides an automated and hands free way
to turn on lights when there needed, and off when
you don’t.
Motion sensor lights are used
to illuminate the walkway to your front door and
the driveway when you pull into it. This is a great
way to increase your home security.
In
addition, as a night light they are a safety
measure to avoid trip hazards that can’t be seen in
the dark. In the home they can be used as night
lights for hallways when you get up in the middle
of the night, and turn on lamps when you enter a
room.
In
addition, they are a great way to save energy by
turning lights off automatically when they are not
necessary. Most are equipped with light-sensing
diodes that prevent them from coming on during
daylight hours.
Many of the modern motion
sensor lights don’t require a great deal of setup
wiring. They can be plugged into any electrical
wall outlet. The battery operated types can be
mounted onto any wall using adhesives, magnets, or
screws. These motion detector lights are quite
small and can be mounted in nearly any obscure
space.
Small motion detectors can be
installed in lamps anywhere in your home. They will
turn the lamp on as soon as someone walks into the
room. These lamp motion sensors plug into any
electrical outlet.
They also can use it with electronic
equipment such as radios, televisions and fans.
If your home gets an adequate
supply of sunlight during the day solar powered
lights can be used with built-in motion detectors
for night lighting. Installing solar lights as
security lights avoids the need for any wiring and
they will save you money by not using electricity
to power them.
You can easily add a motion
light sensor to an existing overhead light fixture
by adding an adaptive device. The adaptive device
is a screw-in light sensor that will screw into any
light bulb socket. A standard light bulb screws
into the adaptive device making the entire setup a
motion detector light assembly.
Adding motion sensor lighting
to your home, outside and inside, will go a long
way in increasing your home safety and security.
