Introduction:
Indoor
furniture
is for
interior
decoration
whereas the
outdoor
furniture
is usually
placed
outside of
the house
or in the
backyard.
The patio
or deck
pieces of
furniture
fall under
the outdoor
category.
Outdoor
furniture
is
constantly
under the
threat or
exposure to
sunlight,
rainwater,
storms and
rust,
whereby
indoor
furniture
is not.
However,
outdoor
furniture
can last
for decades
if it is
maintained
properly.
Therefore,
the
homeowner
must take
proper care
to keep the
outdoor
furniture
in good
condition.
Nature is
not always
favorable
to outdoor
furniture.
During
rainy
seasons or
cold wintry
nights or
suffocating
hot summer
days,
outdoor
furniture
must be
taken care
of for
checking
the onset
of fading,
insects,
bugs and
mildew.
Wooden
outdoor
furniture
must be
properly
cleaned at
least one a
year. The
cleaning
process
should not
be made
difficult.
A spoonful
of bleach,
several
tablespoons
of dish
washing
detergent
in the form
of liquid
plus a
gallon of
fresh tap
water can
be mixed or
blended for
washing the
dirt and
layer of
dust
particles
from the
surface off
wooden
furniture.
A good
brush with
strong
bristles or
a broom
will
enhance the
cleansing
operation.
If there is
any damage
to the
furniture
due to the
overexposure
of sunlight
or rain, a
refinishing
may be
necessary
to extend
the life of
the
furniture.
