LED (light emitting diode) floodlights are quickly replacing incandescent flood lights simply because they last longer and the price has become more affordable. To change the color of the lighting, a lens is required. The lens filters out the desired color making the light generation even more inefficient. LED floodlights are manufactured in many colors. The original color was a deep red, which was soon joined by yellow, orange, blue, and green. The most popular LED floodlights used for residential outdoor lighting is pure white with a small hint of blue.
LED floodlights are relatively shock resistant as compared to incandescent lights.
