If you are an artist that paints several paintings a year, you probably have experienced paint canvases that are not properly stretch on the canvas frame. This is not unusual as most paint canvases are made in China where there seems to be only limited quality control.

Unfortunately, wrinkled paint canvases are just about worthless as they are difficult to paint on and in the event that you do finish a painting on the wrinkled canvas it will look distorted and will not set in the picture frame properly.

Repairing a wrinkled paint canvas is a very easy DIY repair task. It involves removing the staples that hold the canvas to the frame on three sides of the frame and stretching the canvas to remove the wrinkles and re-stapling the canvas to the frame.
