How to Make a Garden Statue Pedestal Video
Small Garden Statue Pedestals
Introduction:
Many of
the statues we use in our gardens are small and
become hidden when flowers grow up around them.
Unfortunately, statues that are hidden by the
flowers do nothing for enhancing your garden if
they cannot be seen.
There is an easy solution to this
problem. A masonry pedestal can be made using sand,
stone and Portland cement for the statue to set
upon. The mixture can be mixed in an ordinary
wheelbarrow and placed in a mold. The mold can be
made of wood or even an old plastic flower pot can
be used for a mold. Used flower pots work the best
because they are round and tapered.
To make the pedestal, simply pour
the concrete mixture in the flower pot and let it
set for twenty four hours, or until the concrete is
dry. When the concrete is dry, peel of the plastic
flower pot and you have a pedestal.
