Eliminate streaks on glass:

Window streaks are marks or lines that you often see in windows even after you've washed them. You can prevent streaks by using a squeegee with a soft and smooth rubber edge when washing your windows. When cleaning, you must leave a one-inch wide strip at the side or top of the window dry. This dry spot will become the starting point of your squeegee to avoid streaks. Avoid washing windows in direct sunlight. Glass has a high tendency for streaking when they dry too quickly. It is better to wash your windows during the evening or cloudy days.

Eliminate dust from window blinds:

Remove dust from blinds with antiseptic spray. You can also prevent dust from accumulating in your blinds by spraying them with anti-static spray each time you cleaned them.

Remove mildew from window panes:

Remove mildew from window panes by washing them with a bleach detergent solution. To remove dark mildew spots, use a solution of six tablespoons of bleach, about three tablespoons of dishwashing detergent and one quart of water. Rinse the screen with a hose and let it dry thoroughly before mounting it back to the window.

If the interior part of your glass windows gets dirty too fast, the filter of your furnace or air-conditioner could be the cause. Filters work to trap dust and to prevent dirt from escaping into your home and on the windows, furniture and appliances. To ensure that your furnace and air-conditioning filters are working perfectly, you must inspect them every one or two months. You will know that a filter needs replacement if you cannot see anything behind the filter when you hold the filter against the light.
