A Bathroom Mini Makeover
A DIY Bathroom Makeover
Introduction:
If you have been looking at
the new granite vanity tops and want the elegance
of natural stone in your home, consider installing
a new granite bathroom vanity top. You can purchase
high quality granite tops at Lowe's, Home Depot,
and other home improvement supply centers at very
reasonable prices. The prices range from $150 to
$400 depending on the size you need.
You can have a DIY bathroom
mini makeover for as little as $450 simply by
replacing the vanity top. The best part is that you
can do this as a DIY project in a few hours.
How to do it:
-
Begin the project by
ordering the new vanity top; however do not start
the project until you have received the new top.
When you receive the top inspect it for flaws that
are common in granite tops.
-
Disconnect the
plumbing to the old vanity top and remove
the fixtures.
-
Remove the old top,
taking care to not damage the vanity base.
-
Make any wall
repairs that may be required. Keep the old vanity
if it's in good shape because you never know when
you may need it again, or sell it on Craigslist.
-
Repair and paint the
wall as necessary and install a new mirror if
desired.
-
Install the new
vanity tops in accordance with the manufacturer’s
suggestions. This is usually nothing more than a
gluing process. Let the glue dry thoroughly without
disturbing the new top before proceeding.
-
Mount the faucet and
connect the plumbing.
That is all there is to it.
You just finished a mini bathroom makeover for less
than approximately $450.
